Chalet Les Randonneurs

The chalet sleeps 6 to 12 people in three bedrooms with various possible arrangements:
2 in a super-king bed (the master bedroom)
4 in super-king / twin beds
4 in king / twin sofa beds
2 in single sofa beds
The sofa beds can be used in the upstairs lounge or in the bedrooms.


For summer next year the garden will be laid to grass (with some flowers too hopefully) with plenty of space for BBQs and entertaining. There is an outside (insulated) bike / ski locker and an outside tap for when the ride or even walk has been extra muddy! The drive has parking space for four cars (one undercover in a carport).

The chalet is not equipped for toddlers. No high chairs or cots are provided and the stair treads are open.

Heating and Ventilation
The chalet is heated by underfloor heating downstairs and electric radiators in the bathrooms upstairs. The heat is circulated by a mechanical ventilation system throughout downstairs and upstairs. In winter the ventilation is timed to operate at a "daytime" setting from 8am until 11pm and to operate at a lower (quieter) level at night.
The underfloor heating is timed at a higher level between 7-9am and 4-10pm and a lower level at other times. The thermostats around the chalet show the current air temperature. Guests can increase or decrease the set temperatures for a desired length of time on any day, after which the heating which will revert to the pre-set schedule.
To change the set temperature at any thermostat, press the "right" arrow to the word "hold" at the bottom of the thermostat screen, then press √. "00.00" now flashes at the top right of the screen to enable a time period to be set. After setting the time period using the up/down arrows and the √, the temperature can then be adjusted in the same way.
Instructions for the electric radiators are in the top drawers in the bedrooms.

Wi-Fi
Our network is Huawei-4C9B-2.4G and the password will be texted to you.

Audio Visual System
We have a Sonos sound system controllable by Amazon Echo smart speakers. You can play your own media by connecting to the chalet Wi-Fi network and using the Sonos app on your own device. The volume can be controlled with the Amazon Echo, e.g. "Alexa increase/reduce volume".
The Amazon Echo can be used to play radio and to play Amazon playlists. The Sonos app can be used to control which speakers generate sound, e.g. whole chalet or downstairs only.
In the lounge downstairs we have a projector connected to a DVD player and provided with an HDMI lead for you to play your own media from a laptop computer. The DVD player is linked to the internet for guests to use their Amazon, Netflix and other accounts or to access BBC iPlayer. The DVD player will also accept media on a USB stick in most common formats. The screen simply pulls down and will stay in position once held for 3 seconds.

Both the DVD player and the projector are remote controlled. There is a manual control on top of the projector (underneath a flap on the top unless we removed it) for zoom and the focus is adjusted by manually rotating the lens.

You can connect your own Spotify or Amazon accounts to play your own playlists.
