About us
While we live and work in England in a small village near Bedford we have been coming to visit Samoens for over 10 years. We came the first time for a guided hiking holiday and just kept coming back. We've never been to an area with a greater concentration of excellent day hikes (and multi-day if you fancy a stay in a refuge). The biking's good too! Why did we build Les Randonneurs? We found a piece of land in the village of Vallons d'en Haut, which was quiet and peaceful but within easy walk of the bars and restaurants, important when your chalet is to be your retirement home! The chalet is built of wood by a Finnish company to almost passive house standards. It is still getting finishing touches - more furniture, paintings etc. It's simply a lovely and relaxing place to be. |
